Brad has been in captivity for almost a year being tested on and forced to try and breed with the women also held in captivity, his will power being the only thing stopping it. When part succubus Alice arrives in his facilitty he is driven to protect her despite just having met. When everything kicks off at their facility their only choice is to run and hope no one will follow.

You can read Wolf's Surrender as a standalone, especially as it is the first book in a series, however there is definitely something to be said of reading other books in the Immortal Ops world before (there's also PSI Ops & Immortal Outcasts series). One of the books in the PSI Ops series, Act of Command, has events that run almost parallel to Wolf's Surrender, and I liked the over lapping characters, especially Ezra. I also loved Brad in Act of Command so was happy he got his own story.

It was interesting exploring how Alice's succubus side worked, there was more to it than the standard need sex thing, she was more in control of it than that. She didn't focus on just jumping people's bones, instead she stood up for herself and her principles. I liked having a strong female character in the lead.

There was great chemistry between Brad and Alice, and I liked that he attempted to be a gentleman about it, even when he didn't actually have to be! Even though their relationship was quick (true mate style!) there was a depth to it, as well as sweet moments and a lot of heat.

I loved being back in the Immortal Ops world! It's great returning to characters and a mythology that were familiar!
