Having been reinstated into the competition to become the wife of Trevor Stone, Bridget is determined to get to the next big mile stone and gain enough money to support herself. But complicating things is Daniel; whether he likes it or not he is captivated by Bridget and the last thing he wants is for her to touch anyone else, even if he's off limits...
I am well and truely hooked. I thought as much after finishing Burning Offer, but Burning Rivalry has me even more so. I need to know what happens next and I need to know how it will end, particularly now it's been made clear that some people know more than they should, and that there's mroe tensions brewing.
The chemistry between Daniel and Bridget is even stronger than it was previously, partly because of the rules that say they can't be together, and so the sneaking around adds to it. Bridget also became more aware of exactly what was doing it for her in the house, which again added another element particularly when Daniel laid claim to her.
It was interesting learning more about some of the male characters, particularly Trevor who only had a side role in the first book. He's a complete constrast to Daniel (the male lead) and seems a lot softer in some ways, which could be interesting going forward.
The POV was more evenly split between Bridget and Daniel in this book than it was in Burning Offer and I liked that. Now things are established it is interesting to see how the pair of them are taking the same events. Plus Daniel's POV gives more of an insight into what is really going on in the house.
There's a lot of questions I want answers for still, and I can't help but want the next piece of the story!
