After the death of her father, Snow's Step-Mother became the Duchess of Crystal and controlled her life. Snow's step-mother constantly punishes Snow for her promiscuity, not that that will stop her, but with a visit from the Duchess of the Seas and her son, Lord Zale, looming things are about to change. With the Duchess of Crystal wanting Zale for her own, and Zale enamored with Snow, she has to turn to dark magic to get what she wants...
You can read my review of the previously published Tainted Snow here.
When the Tales from Beyond the Veil novellas were first released, Tainted Snow was probably my favourite (though they're all good so it's difficult to call!) and this time around it was just as good. Tainted Snow isn't quite as connected to the other books (Snow doesn't know Ash, Silver and Scarlett) but there are small indications tying them all together.
Tainted Snow has more sex scenes than the previous three novellas and Snow is very liberated in that sense. It put a different spin on the story but that made Snow a unique and interesting character, as well as giving her relationship to Zale another level when that got going.
Last time I read Tainted Snow I said that I really wanted to know what happened next, because there is a little bit of a cliff hanger, and I have exactly the same question now! There is still a question over what happened to Zale and Snow after the ending of the book and I still want to know!
I'm not surprised in the slightest to be enjoying an Amos Cassidy series, and I need more already!
