Jackson and Laney (real name Erica) have been best friends with benefits for years. So much so that Laney refuses to accept monogamous relationships with other men, and Jackson never looks for anything serious with anyone else. But all that changes when Laney is proposed to by Bryce. He should be everything she wants, and yet there is another part of her that just doesn't want to let go of Jackson...

I made the mistake with Jackson of reading some reviews before I started the book (unless I found a book that way it's not something I normally like to do) and so I ended up a little hung up on the idea of Laney cheating on her partner. Except after I started reading I found that that wasn't really what she was doing. She wasn't monogamous, but she also didn't lie about it. I think its more of a grey fuzzy line than a no-no in my opinion.

For a lot of the book I wanted to bang Laney and Jackson's heads together (in a good way!) Even from the very beginning it was clear that they were more or less already in a relationship they just didn't seem to realise it. Then when they were finally coming to realise that they loved each other, they didn't seem to want to share those feelings. It meant that the book pushed forward at a good pace and it left me wondering which one of them was going to mess up next (let's face it, it was normally Jackson!)

There were some steamy scenes between the two of them, though I loved that Foster made it clear that that wasn't all there was to their relationship. There was mutual support and interests as well as a very thoughtful present, all of which built up the two of them together.

There was also a real sense of brotherhood between the Wild Boys in this one (not that there hasn't been before!) and they did what I wanted to and berated Jackson. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Cooper has to offer!
