Five years ago, Dante started the mating process with Francy, the woman that he knows is his true mate, but he didn't want to deprive her of her own life and stopped himself. Having stayed away for five years, Francy is now back and having to face Dante and tell him that she is engaged to another man, a vampire named Ivon. But things don't turn out quite how she was expecting...
I do like the quick reads that Mandy M Roth does. They seem to provide an interesting story with depth, if a limited cast, and yet don't feel like they're missing anything. Sometimes a quick easy read is what I need (particularly after a work shift) and books like Solo Tu defintiely provide that.
There was also the added tension of Ivon in Solo Tu. At first this was just because Francy had to tell Dante about him, but it became clearer as the book progressed that there was going to be more to it. I did wonder for a short time if it was going to turn into a ménage romance (which it didn't) but the turn that it did take took me very much by surprise (and I liked it).
The chemistry between Francy and Dante was there even before they were both on page, and I liked the way that it built between them. There was also clearly a lot of emotion between them and not just love in a sexual way, but a connection that went deeper than that, and I liked it.
Solo Tu was a great quick read, I really enjoyed it.
