Blog Tour: Seaside Hearts by Melissa Foster

I received a copy of Seaside Hearts in exchange for my review.

Jenna has never had a problem confidence wise except for around one man, Pete. Every summer at Seaside she can't help but want him, and yet she can barely talk to him. Pete has always appreciated Jenna, for her figure and for her personality, but the mixed signals he's got from her have always scared him off...until Jenna goes after another man and Pete's jealousy makes him see what he could have. Problem is that once Pete is aware that he wants Jenna, he can't seem to stop himself around her...

Well I've yet to be disappointed by one of the Love in Bloom books, they're all sweet and sexy, with each story having its own spin and its own set of great characters. In this case it was back to the girls who summer at Seaside and it felt like going back to old friends.

Pete and Jenna's relationship was great, there was a great friendship there as a base and it did feel like the pair of them were building on that and becoming more together in the way that they acted. Because they were friends before their relationship did progress quickly, though it felt realistic and like it was a natural progression. They did have crazy chemistry as well which helped no end!

I missed both Tony and Jamie fromn the Seaside gang though! Even though it is realistic that they weren't necessarily  there, there was something about them missing that I didn't like so much! Also felt really sorry for poor Amy who seems to be left behind a bit.

There were some more serious issues in the book, mostly revolving around Pete's Dad and Jenna's Mom, both of who were going through a little bit of a crisis from being left behind (one becoming a widower and the other one's ex-partner getting remarried). They both dealt with it in different ways and it was very sweet to see how Pete and Jenna dealt with them, though Pete's frustration was also valid!

I can't wait to read more in the series!

SEASIDE HEARTS by Melissa Foster
Seaside Summers, Book Two
Release Date October 21, 2014
Jenna Ward is vivacious, spontaneous, and confident—except when she’s around the man who stole her heart years earlier, strikingly handsome, quiet, and reliable Pete Lacroux. After years of trying to get his attention and overwhelmed from dealing with her mother’s new cougar lifestyle, Jenna’s giving up on Peter—and is ready to explore other men.
As the eldest of five siblings, with an alcoholic father to care for, boat craftsman Pete Lacroux always does the right thing and has no time for a real relationship. He’s looking forward to seeing his friend Jenna, a welcome distraction who’s so damn sexy and so painfully shy that she equally entertains and confuses him.
When Jenna picks up a hard-bodied construction worker, jealousy ignites Pete’s true feelings, and he’s powerless to ignore the desires for Jenna he never realized he had.  But Pete’s not the quiet guy he appears to be, and his life is anything but conducive to a relationship. Can Jenna handle the real Pete Lacroux—the sexiest, most passionate alpha male she’s ever seen—or will she crack under pressure? And can Pete reclaim the life he once had without tearing apart his family?
