Happy Valentine's Day! And Welcome to the Spread Some Indie Love Blog Hop! The idea is that each blogger hosts or spotlights a fantastic Indie author on their blog, but not just that, there are some fantastic hop wide giveaways for you to enter! You can check them out later in the post. But first my Indie Author!

Nadia Lee
I am lucky enough to be a part of the Street Team for Nadia Lee's contemporary romance series, Hearts on the Line and she has agreed to do an interview with me for today's blog hop! Which got me very excited, particularly because I can ask some of the questions that I've wanted to know the answer for! At the moment books 1, 2 and 3 are out, Vengeful in Love, Reunited in Love and Redemption in Love and the 4th book, Sweet in Love is due to be released in March!

Which was your favourite couple to write about?

This is so hard because it makes me feel like I'm being a bad mommy by picking a favorite, but...Gavin and Amandine. (Shhhhhhhhh.... I love you too, Ethan & Kerri.)

I just got done with their story, so it's the freshest in my mind out of the three that are available for sale right now and also Amandine was the first heroine I wrote who wasn’t super career-oriented, I think. :)

What made you decide to include the business environment in your books?

I have a business degree from the University of Virginia and worked three really grueling years in Corporate America. When I quit, my mom said I was wasting my education. So I thought... why not include that in my stories, so that all that education and work experience won’t go to waste? (To be honest, I really really enjoyed studying finance. Even the “Intro to corporate accounting” course was fun. Don't judge me... ;) )

Have you decided on a name for Gavin and Amandine's baby?

Yes! It's revealed in Forever in Love, which features Catherine Fairchild, who was an antagonist of sorts in Gavin and Amandine's story Redemption in Love.

Do you have a favourite Lloyd brother? (Not that it would at all be easy to pick between Gavin and Ethan!)

No. I really really like them both for many reasons, and I can't choose one over the other. They're both alpha, successful, loyal to their family, responsible and have honor. That's so important in my book. And at the same time they're different. Ethan's totally overprotective and occasionally overzealous as well, while Gavin's driven (hungry for success!) and possessive.

If the Hearts on the Line books got made into a film, who would be your lead cast for book 1? (or more if you want! I'll find photos of the people to go with this one!)

Alex Damon...oh that's hard. Matt Bomer or Henry Cavill... Hugh Jackman if he were younger! And Benedict Cumberbatch just because I think he sounds soooooo divine. I could swoon just listening to him recite the ingredient list from a box of detergent...

(Laura's note: Though they all fit the part...Henry Cavill please!!! And not just because that would be patriotic of me to say either! His voice as well as his face, and the fact he's only 9 years older than me!)

Do you have any writing rituals or habits?

It's not really a habit or a ritual, but sometimes if I can't focus in my home office, I go to a local food court and write from there. It's in a fairly new shopping center, and has the most perfect counter space for writing, overlooking a big intersection. And they also have free water (gotta keep hydrated!). When I get hungry, I can always grab something to eat, generally Korean bibimbop (rice mixed with hot sauce and veggies and meat), udon noodles or sandwiches.

Oh and I consume an ungodly number of cough drops while I write.

What is the most memorable book that you read growing up?

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It's an old Chinese novel, and I loved the way the action and adventure was mixed with a bit of history. (Which probably explains why I fell in love with The Three Musketeers as well.)

What can you tell us about what else is planned for Hearts on the Line?

On March 2 or thereabouts (I can’t say for certain since it really depends on the whims of the retailer gods) Sweet in Love is scheduled to be released. It's a novella featuring Pete and Brooke, who you met in Redemption in Love.

This summer (if not sooner; keep your fingers crossed...!), I plan to release Forever in Love, which is Catherine's story. She goes to a small town in Tennessee to convince bar and restaurant owner Blaine Davis to reconcile with a playboy billionaire father he never knew he had. Of course, Blaine's not at all interested since he despises rich and entitled people...

After that, there's going to be another novel featuring Mark Pryce and Hilary Rosenberg. Mark is Gavin's best friend and a restaurant investor, and Hilary is Gavin's trusty executive administrative assistant. (This one is currently untitled.)

And if I'm very very fortunate (and productive), the series will get a story featuring Meredith Lloyd (Ethan and Gavin's younger sister) titled Merry in Love by December 2014.

In between the releases above, I may release a short novel (or a long novella, depending on how you want to look at it) featuring Damien and Victoria, who you met in Redemption in Love. It's the first contemporary romance novel I sold to Samhain five years ago, and I'm getting my rights back in April. I need get a few betas to read it for me before I make any concrete decision on this book. I'll make an announcement on my website and newsletter when I know for sure.

As for anything beyond 2014 -- I haven't mapped out my projects for next year yet, but most likely I'll be publishing more books in the Hearts on the Line series. :) So long as people want to read it, I will continue to add more stories to the series.

Vengeful in Love

Self-made billionaire Alex Damon wants his pound of flesh from the people who ripped his family apart. When he discovers his enemies' daughter is working at his company -- and most likely spying for them -- he decides to start his revenge by seducing her. Natalie Hall is stunned at the personal interest from the CEO of her company. Vulnerable, with an already bruised heart, she wants to avoid any involvement -- but she can't deny the desire he arouses in her.

What should've been a straightforward eye-for-an-eye starts to unravel as Natalie's unflinching loyalty and kindness begin to thaw Alex's cold intent. But caring for her is unthinkable...since he plans to use everything in his power to ruin her family and everyone else she holds dear.

Reunited in Love

Newly jobless and adrift, former investment banker Kerri Wilson travels to Virginia to see her best friend and regroup, only to run into billionaire playboy Ethan Lloyd. It's been years since she's snuck out of his bed after the most amazing sex of her life, and he's so not her type -- she likes them tall, dark and manageable. But he's too hot to resist, and she succumbs to another sizzling, no-strings-attached (or so she thinks) night.

Unwilling to let her go this time, Ethan makes a simple proposition: a job, a place to stay, and an exclusive affair that will end when either of them finds someone else. But with her dark, painful past catching up to her, Kerri may have to bolt again -- even though her heart is telling her to stay. And Ethan's not giving her up without fighting to make their "temporary" arrangement something far more permanent...

Redemption in Love

All Amandine Monroe ever wanted was to fit in with her glamorous and wealthy in-laws and live happily ever after with her handsome husband Gavin Lloyd. Three years after the wedding, she's still nowhere near fitting in with her in-laws, and Gavin has given her everything -- except his heart.

When she finds out she's pregnant, she decides she can't raise her child in a home devoid of love. If she can't have Gavin's heart, only a divorce would do.

Gavin won't let the only woman he truly cared for walk away without a fight. He demands full custody of their child or a chance for them to reconcile.

Saving their marriage will require more than expensive gifts and a second honeymoon. If Amandine and Gavin can't overcome their pride and private fears, they'll have to let go of each other forever...

Sweet in Love

Released March 2014 - Goodreads

Brooke de Lorenzo knows Pete Monroe is off-limits. They crossed that line once, in a make-out session that rocked her world, but anything more would be complicated. Messy. Unbelievably hot. And deep down, she's afraid the younger man might just break her heart.

Pete's worked years to make sure he will be worthy of Brooke, and he's not going to wait any longer. He's going to show her what they have is very real, and that forbidden fruit is the sweetest and most satisfying.
