Hello all and welcome to the Indie-Credible Blog Event! Indie-Credible is an event where authors and bloggers have been paired together so that we can promote a lot of Indie authors that really deserve it! And I must say I am really glad that I am taking part and would like to thank Little Read Riding Hood and Creative Deeds Reads for organising such an amazing event!

And don't forget to enter the MASSIVE giveaway!

There are going to be two posts for my hosting of the brilliant Indie author team, Amos Cassidy, the first (this one) is a guest post and excerpt from their forthcoming third book, and the second will be a review of their book, Crimson Midnight. So kick back and enjoy the show!

So here's the question; what makes Amos Cassidy, Indie-Credible? Well that's a tough one to answer in specifics, there was just something about Crimson Midnight (review coming later today) that really did make it incredible. It was one of those worlds where everything drew you in, the plot, the characters, the settings...but for more of my thoughts on the book you will have to pop by later for my review! I must say though, I am really thankful that I got such a fantastic author team and book for my stop on the blog event!

Laura: Hi Amos, Hi Cassidy, welcome to trips down imagination road. And thank you for taking part in the fantastic Indie-Credible. I must say I am super excited that you're here!

Cassidy: Hi, Laura! Thanks so much for having us here. We are so excited to be part of the Indie-Credible tour!

Amos: Its Cassidy’s birthday today so HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CASSIDY!!!

Cassidy: *blushes* thanks *Looks at him expectantly*

Amos: What?

Cassidy: No cake?

Amos: *slaps his forehead* Dammit! I knew I forgot something.

Cassidy: *bottom lip quivers* It’s…its okay, really…I’ll be fine…

Amos: *Laughs* Gotcha! Of course there’s cake…just not here. You didn’t think we’d let your birthday pass without a good party did you? *turns to Laura* Thanks for letting us do this…

Laura: *grins as the doors burst open and the some of the cast of Crimson come flooding in*

Cassidy: EEEP! Oh my goodness! I can’t believe you guys!!! *jumps up and hugs Rose and Thistle*

Rose: Wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Thistle: Unless the world was in dire need of course.

Rose: Of course.

Roman: Hey, what about me? Don’t I get a hug?

Cassidy: *hugs Roman and pinches his bottom*

Roman: Ouch!

Cassidy: Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Raven: Hi, Amos. Happy Birthday, Cassidy. The others will be along shortly. *holds out a white box*

Cassidy: Is that…Cake! *lunges for the box*

Amos: *swipes it first* No. We’re going to do this properly.

Laura: Cue the music!

Cassidy: Um… I think we’re going to party for a while. Feel free to join in or if you can’t make it, that’s okay; it was short notice after all. But check out the sneak peek from Crimson Dawn (Book 3 in the Crimson Series) out soon.*the door opens and the Guardians stroll in* I think I’m going to faint! *Fans herself*

Amos: *Tries not to drool* Get a hold of yourself, woman!  *smirks as a thought occurs to him* Hey…anyone want to play spin the bottle?

The weather was shit!
White fluffy snow covered everything and it made her want to scream.
It made her want to smash something or someone.
She blew out an angry breath. It was nothing new. Lately everything made her want to do violent things. Thistle crossed then uncrossed her arms as she stared daggers at the landscape before her.
Heathrow Airport sucked arse.
She couldn’t wait to get out of London! The only problem was she wasn’t going to get to go where she wanted to go. She wanted to go after Rose, to bring her back. But that wasn’t possible. Faerie was a no go area for her.
Damned sunlight.
Gabriel had been cagey about their destination. The private plane would be arriving shortly and the vamps would be boarding for their temporary new home. She was curious, but, to be honest, it wasn’t on the top of her list of worries.
While they had been battling the darkness inside the dome, the world outside had gone to shit.
It didn’t matter what the government decreed, people were going to do what they felt best. Despite their protestations of godliness and morality, humans held the greatest capacity for evil. In times such as these, one figure always rose above the ranks seizing the opportunity to reign, clutching at a cause and gathering a following. In this case it was Reverend Carter, the evangelistic preacher who was the chief shit stirrer. HAA! What a joke!  Humans Against Abominations needed to be shut down, but the government weren’t treating the group as a threat. Thistle knew better. The information they had showed that the group were dangerous. The burned colony in Manchester was proof enough of that. Now they were leaving…fleeing.
She fucking hated it!
Something bumped her thigh and she glanced down into Ceb’s big puppy dog eyes. He cocked his head inquiringly and whined softly. It was funny how in tune with her emotions he had become. Reaching down, she smoother a hand over each of his heads making sure to scratch behind his ears just the way he liked it.
“It’s okay, boy, we’re going to be okay.”
He whined again. As if to say what about Rose?
“Rose will be fine. Chick’s a fighter. There is no way she’s going to let that fucker take her down.” The conviction in her own words comforted her. Where ever they went now, it was only temporary. She would come back. She would see her friend again and nobody was going to tell her otherwise.

ALASKA!” Thistle screeched, her voice cracking incredulously.  “You’re having a laugh.”
Gabriel stared at her dead pan.
Thistle narrowed her eyes.
Gabriel quirked an enquiring brow.
“It’s safe.”
“A padded cell is safe so why don’t we just hole up in one of those?”
“Thistle, please…” Gabriel sighed heavily not even bothering to finish his sentence.
Thistle opened her mouth to argue further but the dark circles around his eyes, the dishevelled hair and crumpled clothes caused her to pause. The guy was shattered. She felt a sharp stab of guilt. While she had been procrastinating he’d been running around rallying the vamps watching over Jeremiah and liaising with the other colonies to arrange this trip.
Suddenly she felt like a total dick. “I’m sorry.” She ran a hand over her cropped hair. “You know what you’re doing; I didn’t mean to have a go.”
Gabriel’s eyes widened a fraction in surprise at her capitulation and then his face broke into a grin. “You know, I think that’s the first time you’ve admitted that you were wrong.”
“What? Wait a minute I didn’t say anything about being wrong. I just-”
Gabriel held up a hand to stall her. “No. Please don’t spoil it. Let me have this moment.”
Thistle stared at him wide eyed. He was joking around with her. Gabriel, the seriously stuffed shirt, was trying to lighten the mood.
She burst out laughing. “Okay, okay have your moment. But savour it because it will be your last.
“We’ll see.”
“When do we leave?”
“Tonight. The other colonies will meet us there.”
Thistle nodded. It was the only thing to do at present. No colony was safe. They were vulnerable during the day, unable to protect themselves and if anyone suspected a colony they could easily wipe it out. They need to get away; somewhere where the sun didn’t hinder them, somewhere where humans would not follow easily. And hopefully by being out of sight they would be out of mind.
Ceb nudged her with one of his huge heads. Man, the creature had grown fast. Less than a week old and already reaching her hip. She wondered, not for the first time, how big he would grow to be. The Sleekers had been huge but Ceb….she had a feeling he would surpass them.
“Ceb’s coming too.”
“I wasn’t asking.”
“Thistle, be reasonable. There’s limited space on the plane not to mention the fact that he may not be equipped for the harsh climes.”
This was one point that she was not planning on backing down on. “Make room. As for the weather, I’ll wrap him in a snowsuit if I have to.”
“No.” It was her turn to hold up a halting hand. “He comes. I promised Rose I would take care of him so he comes, okay.”
Gabriel stared unblinkingly at her for a long moment. “Okay.”
Battle won she turned her attention to the view outside. They were holed up in one of the offices on the topmost floor of the airport so the view was vast, vast and white. “Do you know, I fucking hate snow!”
